🚀 NerdNOS Upgrade Kit – Turn your NerdMiner into a real miner!

The NerdNOS is not a toy upgrade, but a serious performance add-on for your NerdMiner. While the standard NerdMiner runs at a sluggish ~78kH/s, this upgrade boosts it into a whole new league: up to 80–120 GH/s – that’s about one million times faster – with only about 8 watts of power consumption.

🔧 What is the NerdNOS Upgrade Kit?

The NerdNOS is a high-performance extension board powered by the BM1397 ASIC – the same chip used in the Bitaxe Max. It's heavily underclocked to stay energy-efficient and is powered directly via your NerdMiner’s USB-C connection.

⚠️ Note: This is an upgrade kit only, not a full kit. You need to already own a NerdMiner (LilyGo T-Display S3 with pre-soldered GPIO pins).

40mm 5V fan (choose between Gelid Silent or Noctua)

🌬️ Two versions available:

Gelid Silent Fan Version
Same high-quality, quiet fan as in the Bitchin Sink – Black Magic Fan Upgrade. Affordable and very quiet.
Noctua Fan Version
For those who want absolute silence. The Noctua fan is ultra-quiet – perfect for 24/7 home use.

🔌 Power Supply – important!

The NerdNOS draws about 8 watts. This means you’ll need at least 5V / 1.6A.

✅ Minimum: 5V / 2A
❌ Not suitable: USB ports with only 1A (e.g. older chargers or low-power hubs)
✅ Ideal: Standard USB-C chargers with 2A or more – usually more than enough

A 10W+ phone charger is totally sufficient.

ℹ️ Note: If your NerdMiner came as a complete kit, chances are high that it already includes a suitable USB-C charger or cable (5V / 2A or more).
