Inside, a new EAL6⁺-certified secure chip (Infineon OPTIGA Trust M V3) protects your private keys—even if someone has physical access to the device. The dual-chip design separates sensitive cryptography from the general system, and the open-source firmware guarantees full transparency.

📱 Now also for iPhone & iPad

The BitBox02 Nova is fully compatible with iOS for the first time. Using the newly developed, encrypted “Whisper” Bluetooth protocol, the wallet connects securely to iPhone or iPad—trust-minimized and optionally deactivatable. Alternatively, use a cable: USB-C with adapters for USB-A and Lightning. As soon as a cable connection is active, Bluetooth is automatically disabled.

💾 Proven backup system

As with all BitBox wallets, backups are automatically encrypted to the included microSD card. You can restore at any time—either via the card or using your BIP-39 recovery words. This makes upgrading from earlier BitBox versions straightforward.

The new scratch-resistant glass OLED display delivers excellent readability and durability. Controls remain minimalist and intuitive—via two capacitive touch sliders on the sides, with no physical buttons.
